Chicago Sports is a family-owned business that’s been serving fans since 1987, right here in the heart of the city. What started as a small shop outside Wrigley Field has grown into a year-round destination for locals and visitors alike.

We’ve always believed in doing things the right way: with quality gear, honest service, and a deep love for the city and its teams.

1987: Where It All Began

Our first store opened just outside Wrigley Field, next to the Red Line. It was small, packed with Cubs gear, and fueled by game-day energy and community.

Before Online Stores, There Were Catalogs

Long before online shopping was a thing, Chicago Sports was shipping gear across the country through our own mail-order catalogues,  a lifeline for displaced Chicago fans nationwide.

1991: Downtown Expansion

We opened our second location in downtown Chicago, turning a former printing shop into a hub for Bulls fans, Sox fans, and visitors year-round. Those were the Jordan years; six Bulls titles, one unforgettable White Sox championship, and a lot of store celebrations.

2006: 332 N. Michigan Ave Becomes Home

We moved right next door to our current location at 332 N. Michigan Ave, in the heart of the Magnificent Mile.  We've been here ever since, navigating both a fire/remodel and a pandemic, serving tourists, locals, and diehards alike.

Rebuilding from the ashes...literally.

2009: Our Navy Pier Store Opens

To keep up with demand and bring more of our gear to the lakefront, we opened our third location at Navy Pier. Chicago Sports enjoyed space at Navy Pier from 2009-2017, when the Pier underwent its own revamp. We reopened the Pier store in a new space with a totally refreshed look in 2018.

We’re still a family business, and we still care about the things that brought us here; namely good service, real fans, and Chicago pride. It doesn't matter to us if you're shopping for your favorite team, repping your neighborhood, or just grabbing something to remember your trip to the city - we're here for it.
